Dr. Rajpal Brar, a specialist in injuries, is a welcome addition to our exclusive writer lineup. He will offer his opinions on West Brom’s injury status every week.
According to Dr. Rajpal Brar, West Brom forward Josh Maja might not be ready for selection until the upcoming international break.
After being observed wearing a protective boot, the injury expert asserts that it all relies on how he is recovering from his ankle injury.
But it’s understood it might have been removed earlier because it might have been a preventative action.
Speaking exclusively with West Brom News about Maja’s injury, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said: “A mid-November return could be on the cards depending on how he’s doing behind the scenes.
“There’s even the possibility of the protective boot being taken off and light training ongoing as he builds back the strength there.
“Such injuries can evolve quickly and become tough to gauge initially so a boot can be used as a precautionary measure.”
Maja moved to West Brom this summer but has struggled to get too much game time.
He’s made five appearances in the league this season but has not yet been handed a start by Carlos Corberan.
Thus far, he’s played a grand total of 91 minutes which is not really ideal and his injury will have derailed his chances of fighting for a regular spot in the team.
