Last night, Matt Turner played for the USA once more, and the Nottingham Forest goalkeeper has received high praise. Ghana was utterly destroyed by the Stars and Stripes, who trounced them 4-0.
The USA national team never really needed to shift out of first gear during their thorough thrashing. The club led by four goals at halftime thanks to goals from Christian Pulisic, Folarin Balogun, and two from Giovanni Reyna.
Turner acquired a transfer to Forest during the summertime. The goalkeeper, who cost Arsenal about £7 million, has been a constant in Steve Cooper’s squad during the 2023–24 season.
Turner is a star in a global triumph.
Turner was need to step up at a few points despite the USA’s easy victory. Just before the break, he produced a superb stop, and Goal was all praise for him.
A 7/10 was given to him, and they wrote: “An absolutely spectacular save just before the break as Turner showed an insane change of direction to get to a deflected shot.”
Once again Turner played the full 90 minutes for his country. He’s firmly established as the number one right now and he will hope to continue starring for the USA in the future.

Clearly, the move to Forest has worked out for Turner. He’s showcasing that he can get even better and his performance for the USA last night was one of a switched-on and focused goalkeeper.
