Leading scorer Elliot Lee cut the deficit in half just before halftime with his eighth goal of the League Two season after his team fell behind 2-0 after 36 minutes.
Despite playing below par, Wrexham had chances in the second half that went unexploited. However, Stephen Fletcher equalized the score in the 88th minute, and fellow replacement Jordan Davies scored the game’s winning goal right away to move Phil Parkinson’s team up to fifth place in the standings, three points off the lead.
