Defender Matty Platt suspended for Bantams against Wrexham.
For City’s match against Wrexham at Valley Parade, MATTY Platt has been suspended.
The defender, who has logged the most outfield minutes this year, received his fifth league caution in Wimbledon’s 1-0 victory on Saturday.
That will prevent him from playing the following weekend in favor of Phil Parkinson’s comeback and his prolific Welsh team.
To replace Platt and Sam Stubbs at center half, interim manager Kevin McDonald has a wide range of choices.
For his first league start since the opening day, Ash Taylor may very well receive the nod.
He came back from an Achilles injury to play the full game in the EFL Trophy against Grimsby last week and was on the bench again at Plough Lane.
Ciaran Kelly, who scored in the Grimsby game from Taylor’s assist, is another contender to step in as a natural left footer.
City also have on-loan Norwich defender Jon Tomkinson, who will be back from the USA Olympic training camp in Arizona. They have another friendly in Phoenix tomorrow against Japan under-23s.
