Pundit gushes about 22-year-old Forest player, saying boss is blessed to have him: “It’s wonderful.” Dave Edwards complimented Nottingham Forest defender Neco Williams last night as Wales defeated Gibraltar 4-0. The Reds player played for an hour throughout the game to accrue some playing time.
Williams is poised to start for Wales against Croatia in a key qualification this weekend. Under Steve Cooper, the 22-year-old has slipped down the pecking order at Forest this season, appearing just twice in the Premier League.
Williams has now played 31 games for his country and he remains an integral figure on the international stage. He will hope to use his performances for Wales as a chance to impress his boss at Forest.
Edwards praises Forest defender Williams
The man who played for Wolves and Wales among others during his career, was covering the game for BBC Sport. He was full of praise for the Forest man and he’s clearly a big fan of Williams.
After watching the 22-year-old torment Gibraltar, said on BBC Radio Wales: “It’s wonderful for Rob Page to have someone like Neco Williams, he can really raise the tempo of a football match.”
The individual, who had a career playing for Wolves, Wales, and other teams, was covering the game for BBC Sport. He was glowing in his appreciation for the Forest man, and it’s obvious that he loves Williams.
Neco Williams, 22, who tormented Gibraltar, stated on BBC Radio Wales after the game: “It’s wonderful for Rob Page to have someone like Neco Williams, he can really raise the tempo of a football match.”
