Roy Hodgson Confirms ‘Serious’ Crystal Palace Blow Ahead Of Nottingham Forest Clash
Latest Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive ahead of the Reds’ Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday
Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has confirmed that key player Eberechi Eze will miss their match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday with a hamstring injury.
The Eagles come into Saturday’s clash at Selhurst Park fresh off last weekend’s 1-0 win at Old Trafford against Manchester United. Forest meanwhile will be looking to end a three-game winless run when they travel to South London.
But Steve Cooper’s side have been handed a potential boost in their hopes of claiming all three points this weekend. Hodgson has confirmed that as well as Eze, another talented forward in Michael Olise remains out injured.

“He has got a hamstring problem – he has had a scan on it and obviously we will have to wait on a second scan, but it is a serious injury,” Hodgson told the media ahead of Saturday’s game.
“I would prefer not to say [if it take five to six weeks to recover] because I’m optimistic on these things, but the severity of the injury might suggest it’s as long as that. But to be fair, the medical team have been working very, very hard to shave off any time on the prognosis of the injury, but it was a blow for us.
“[Michael Olise] is another one we are going to have to wait on. Two of our most creative players, we are going to have to wait on for a period of time, and it could even be a considerable period time.”
