Bad news for Gray: £22.5k/wk ace is making it look easy for Leeds United right now – View

Glen Kamara might start today for Leeds United boss Daniel Farke, who currently has an amazing array of midfielders at his disposal in the Championship.

This afternoon, Leeds and Daniel Farke face Russell Martin’s Southampton in an attempt to extend their winning streak and inflict more pain on the Saints.

After the rout of Watford last weekend, their formation this afternoon is unclear, and Farke’s midfield regularly causes selection problems.

Former Harrogate pupil Archie Gray could make senior debut for Leeds United against Cardiff City as new EFL Championship season kicks off this weekend

Who could start in midfield?
The double pivot in front of the defence for Farke has one place nailed down and not expected to change any time soon with Ethan Ampadu one of the best players in the division right now.

Who partners him at the base of midfield is more of a debate, though, with Archie Gray playing in every game so far this season and starting them all up until the Watford clash, doing so well, but showing signs of fatigue at Hull City.

In his place last time out was £5.5million signing from Rangers, Glen Kamara, who looked brilliant alongside the Welsh international.

Bad news for Gray?

The 17-year-old will have been buzzing to play so often for his boyhood club, and doing well in the process, but you get what you pay for in Kamara.

Such a fee for the £22,500-per-week midfielder looks to be promising a great deal right now after his start to life south of the border.
