Bradford today confirms the signing of experienced ex-Altrincham midfielder on a new deal.

Richman, who joined Bradford (PA) in October 2021 for the first time, will be remembered by Avenue supporters. That season, he made 27 appearances and scored four goals, and he was a key player in the team’s struggle against relegation.Richman participated in 40 of the league games during the 2022–2023 season, contributing three goals.

Before departing Altrincham in the summer of 2021 after ten years there, Richman had a stellar career in the sport.

He made his Football League debut at Port Vale as a teenager, winning the club’s Young Player of the Year award in 2008–09 after becoming a fixture in the first team.

But a more difficult campaign followed, and he joined Conference North side Worcester City in the summer of 2010.

He only spent a season there, before signing for divisional rivals Altrincham in 2011.

We can also confirm that, following a scan and assessment on the injury picked up against Blyth, that Jamie Spencer will be out for the remainder of the season.

‘Spenner’ will undergo surgery later this year, after the assessment revealed an injury to his ACL. The rehab period is expected to see him out until the summer of 2024.

Everyone at the club wishes Jamie well in his recovery and he has our full support during this time.

On the news, Player/Coach Luca Havern said: Spenner will be a huge loss for us on and off the pitch, he overcame a niggling injury through pre season and had improved us coming back into the side. We are all gutted for him but knowing his character there’s no doubt he will come back stronger and continue to support the lads in the changing room this season.
