Five people made reports of being inappropriately touched over their clothing
Police officers are investigating five reports of sexual assault at a Reading FC match at the weekend. The reports were made following Reading’s match against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday (September 16) at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
The five victims reported being touched inappropriately over their clothing. Thames Valley Police is now working with the football club and the relevant authorities to investigate the incidents.
A witness appeal has been launched urging anyone who may have seen anything to contact police officers. The police force has provided a statement on the incidents.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said on Sunday: “We have received five reports of sexual assaults at the Reading FC vs Bolton Wanderers FC match at the Select Car Leasing Stadium in Reading yesterday (16/9). The victims all reported being touched inappropriately over their clothing.
“We are investigating these reports and working with Reading FC and the relevant external agencies. Anyone with information should call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43230416585.
