Cedric Anselin has warned Norwich City that they must drastically up their performance level from the Stoke City game when they take on Leicester City, who he feels have quality performers.
In a close 1-0 league victory over Stoke City on Saturday, the Carrow Road team salvaged all three points.
Full-back The Canaries defeated Stoke in a game that was mostly evenly matched thanks to a goal from Jack Stacey in the first half.
Anselin stated that Norwich needed to play better against the second-placed Foxes, who are currently on a roll.
The former Canary emphasized that the Foxes’ lineup contains talented players, thus maintaining the same level of performance will not be sufficient to defeat them.
Anselin stated on BBC Radio Norfolk, “You know the way we performed in the second half, this afternoon.
“You know, it’s going to be a long, long 90 minutes against Leicester.
“Because they have some quality players,” was the reply.
Whether David Wagner’s team can step it up against Leicester at home on Wednesday is still up in the air.
