New exit timeline emerges for West Brom as player set to leave club

West Brom-linked Lewis O’Brien is set to leave Nottingham Forest on loan in the next few days, according to BBC Sport.

The publication reported on its website on Thursday (24 August) that the midfielder has also been linked with fellow Championship club Leeds United.

The 24-year-old is expected to be on the move shortly, having recently made a loan switch to D.C. United, BBC Sport noted.

Lewis O'Brien: Huddersfield Town midfielder linked with Premier League move - BBC Sport

Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O’Brien is set to secure a loan move away from the City Ground before the transfer deadline closes next Friday night,” according to BBC Sport.

“O’Brien spent the first half of this year with MLS side D.C. United after he was excluded from Steve Cooper’s 25-man Premier League squad.

“The former Huddersfield man has returned to Nottingham but has been linked with both Leeds and West Brom over the past few weeks. It is expected he will find another club over the next few days.”

Get it done

West Brom need new faces in the door this summer if they are to have any hope of having a better season than last time.

The likes of attackers Josh Maja and Jeremy Sarmiento have recently moved to The Hawthorns, but manager Carlos Corberan should be wanting to add more bodies before the transfer window closes.

The Albion put up a great fight under their talented manager last season, but ultimately fell short in their search for a spot in the play-offs.

That should be the target this time around, but that has been made very difficult with the loss of star centre-back Dara O’Shea to newly-promoted club Burnley.

More exits are likely in the coming days, meaning incomings are necessary in order to have a balanced squad.

And experienced midfielder O’Brien should definitely targeted, not least because it would only be a loan fee, meaning the Baggies don’t have to fork out a big sum for his signature.

In other West Brom news, a finance guru has raged at a £10million Baggies loan revelation.
