Nottingham Forest sign Bantams scholar Alfie Bradshaw
ALFIE Bradshaw has become the latest City academy product to clinch a Premier League move.
The Bantams have announced that the first-year scholar has signed for Nottingham Forest.
He has initially signed a scholarship but a pro contract will kick in from next month until the summer of 2026.
Forest Head of Academy Chris McGuane said: “We are delighted to welcome Alfie to Nottingham Forest and look forward to working with him to develop both on and off the pitch.
“Alfie is a player we have admired and closely monitored so we are pleased both he and his family see the opportunity with us as the next step in his development.
“Everyone at the club sends their congratulations to Alfie and we wish him all the very best as he joins the academy at this very exciting time.”
Attacking midfielder Bradshaw is the fifth City prospect to get the chance with a club in the top flight in the past couple of seasons.
Goalkeeper Daryl Ombang joined Leeds, who were in the Premier League at the time, Sahil Bashir went to Brighton and Wolves snapped up Alvin Ayman and Max Ruddock.
Bashir signed a two-year pro contract with the Seagulls in July as he stepped up into the under-21s squad.
No details of the Bradshaw deal have been made public, but it is likely to be structured like the others in a way that will see City receive an immediate compensation fee with potential add-ons built in as the players progress through their careers.
The Bantams most famously did that with Oli McBurnie when he moved to Swansea as a 17-year-old in 2015.
