Huddersfield Town sent 49 years old warning ahead of there next clash
The former Terriers boss will bring his current side to the John Smith’s Stadium again on Saturday afternoon,
Ahead of this weekend’s meeting with their former manager, the Terriers have been warned that David Wagner looks to be back at his best after overseeing a rocky run of form at Norwich City late last season.
The former Huddersfield Town boss departed the John Smith’s Stadium in January 2019 by mutual consent and later took up the reins with troubled German top flight side Schalke, where he made an excellent start only for results to turn and cost Wagner his job.
The German-American then took over Swiss champions Young Boys in summer 2021, who had won the previous year’s title by 31 points but found themselves 15 points adrift of FC Zurich when Wagner was sacked two-thirds of the way through the season.
Wagner returned to England in January this year, replacing Dean Smith at Carrow Road, but after taking six wins in his first nine Championship games in charge put them on course for a play-off place, the Canaries finished the season with just one victory from their final 11 matches – drawing 1-1 away to Town as part of that run – and ended up a disappointing 13th.

Things are looking much more positive for Norwich ahead of their trip to face Neil Warnock’s side this Saturday, however, with their dominant 3-1 victory over Millwall at the weekend extending their unbeaten start to the campaign to three wins and a draw in all competitions.
