In a recent segment on talkSPORT, pundit Jamie O’Hara backed his former club Tottenham Hotspur to sign Brighton and Hove Albion ace Kaoru Mitoma but expressed his doubts about Spurs’ capability to pull off such a move. O’Hara said,

 

“I would love him, but we ain’t going to get him.

 

“I don’t know what we are going to spend our money on, but we ain’t going to buy Mitoma, that’s for sure.”

Mitoma enjoyed a brilliant campaign at Brighton recently when he produced a run of eye-catching displays for them in the final third. The 26-year-old has made an excellent start to this season as well after scoring one goal and grabbing two assists in two Premier League appearances for the Seagulls thus far.

 

The Japanese winger was a consistent performer in the final third based on his average of 1.6 shots, 1.2 key passes and 1.8 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He even distributed the ball relatively well after making 83.3% of his attempted passes in the top tier of English football (stats via whoscored).
