JUST IN: AC Milan Star Player Officially Renew Contract Extension And Statement Been Made To The Board
Lorenzo Colombo is just one step away from joining Monza on a season-long loan. AC Milan still need to give the final go-ahead, a report claims, but that should arrive very soon.
Colombo spent last season on loan at Lecce and it was a valuable experience for the youngster, who bagged five goals in the process. For this season, he had the opportunity to stay with the first team of Milan but asked to move on loan again.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, as cited by Francesco Nasato, Monza have already won the battle against the other teams interested in Colombo. In the event of a loan, with Milan’s final go-ahead still missing, he will join Rafaelle Palladino’s side.
Colombo will also renew his contract with the Rossoneri before leaving. His current deal will expire in 2025 and Giorgio Furlani doesn’t want him to have just one year left upon returning to the club next summer.
In the meantime, Milan are looking for a striker on the market to replace Colombo.
