Coventry City are understood to be close to completing the signing of exciting Dutch Under-21 international Milan van Ewijk from SC Heerenveen.
The pacy wing-back – officially the fastest player in the Netherlands top flight Eredivisie – is reported to be joining the Sky Blues for a fee of around 4m Euros (£3.4m) with add-ons and a sell on clause.
It’s understood the player is due in the UK today where he will have a medical before signing what is expected to be a four year deal.
The 22-year-old plays in the same international team as former City favourite Ian Maatsen, operating on the opposite flank to the Chelsea player who enjoyed a superb season-long loan at the CBS Arena in the 2021/22 campaign.
