Huge Blow: Another Nottingham Forest Key Player Want’s To Move

Serie A outfit Atalanta have declared their interest in Nottingham Forest forward Emmanuel Dennis. The Reds are willing to let the Nigerian depart the club during the summer.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Gian Piero Gasperini is keen to take Dennis from Forest this summer. He’s keen to bolster his forward line and has identified the out of favour Reds player.

Dennis looked like a bit of a bizarre addition from the outset. He never really fit in with how Steve Cooper likes his teams to play and he’s hardly been utilised in his natural position at Forest.

The £20 million signing from Watford endured a frustrating Premier League campaign with Forest. He scored twice in games against Aston Villa and Newcastle but ultimately he didn’t play much at all.

Dennis will be allowed to leave the City Ground this summer and this could be a good move for him. Atalanta are one of the top teams in Italy and a move makes sense for all parties.

Dennis has found himself a little unlucky at Forest. He’s readily been available to play but sadly he’s not always impressed Steve Cooper sufficiently to get himself in the team frequently.

At 25-years-old Dennis still has a lot to offer. He’s a Nigerian international but he simply needs to play football on a more frequent basis than he is doing at the moment.

Atalanta want Forest forward Dennis
This would be ideal if Forest could get rid of Dennis. Cooper clearly doesn’t want him and ultimately, Forest need to get players off their wage budget.

Dennis has done okay at the City Ground though. He’s hardly been utilised properly and the Reds perhaps haven’t seen the best of him.

These latest claims dictate that Forest are keen to get rid of Dennis. Anthony Elanga is coming in from Manchester United and options are growing on Trentside.

If Forest can get anything like what they paid for Dennis back from Atalanta it would be a bonus. Taking a bit of a loss might be necessary but either way, it does feel inevitable that the player will leave this summer.
