OFFICIAL | ASTON VILLA SIGN FRENCH INTERNATIONAL MOUSSA DIABY
Premier League side Aston Villa have tonight announced the arrival of French international forward Moussa Diaby, who has signed a five-year contract, according to L’Équipe.
The former Paris Saint-Germain youth international reportedly turned down an offer from Saudi Arabian outfit Moussa Diaby, and has instead made the move to English football, for an estimated fee of €50m.
Diaby leaves the Bundesliga side after four seasons, during which he scored just under half a century of goals in 172 appearances. His sole season in the PSG first team saw him play 34 times in all competitions and score four goals, winning the league title in 2019. His formative club will reportedly receive between €7m and €10m as a result of his latest transfer. With the Birmingham-based side, the wide man will be looking to advance past the playoffs and into the Conference League group stage. He will be managed by a former PSG coach in Unai Emery.
